Sebastian Rudy

A young lad from Germany U-21 team got my attention yesterday`s match against Cyprus. Very intelligent, simple play and a strong right foot. He doesn`t leave his area that much, meaning not going forward a lot but this prevents the counter attacks as he holds and covers the midfield area. This way he can be regarded as more of a defensive midfielder but his shooting, key passes abilities can also make him a central midfielder. I can`t remember how many interceptions he made yesterday but the result shouldn`t be exaggerated as the opponent was Cyprus. Still, to me he showed that he`s going to be a very important player in future for the team he`s going to play, as well as for Germany if he can succeed along the likes of Schweinsteiger, Khedira and Kroos.
